OUR INTERVIEW WITH DA$H FOR HIS NEW EP “COLD HEARTED” - BOOTLEG MAG -->

BOOTLEG MAG

DISCOVER NEW MUSIC EVERYDAY

1.Tell us about your new song? And what’s the story behind it?

da$h: I recorded the song with 2 of my friends in a hotel in New York. It was the same place and same time I recorded my other newly released song ‘Hate Me The Same’. After we finished it we probably replayed it like 20 times or so because we were so proud of the final product.

2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?

da$h: I think what makes my music unique would have to be my age. I just turned 14 last month and I’ve been making music for around a year now with some of my friends. You don’t see too many artists my age in the music industry and that combined with the fact that I also try plenty of genres separates me from the average rapper.

3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

da$h: If I had to choose one moment that has defined my music career so far, I would definitely choose to make my song with Godwin. Godwin has been one of my biggest inspirations and favorite artists throughout the past couple of years and to work with him was a dream come true.

4.How do you balance your music with other obligations — family, friends, or work?

da$h: I actually have a weird recording schedule because I’ll only record once a month for like 4 days straight, but in those 4 days I’ll make around 20+ songs.

5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

da$h: Some advice I’d give musicians like me who are trying to make it big at such a young age is just to keep going. There are times when I felt discouraged but just remember, if you keep practicing and don’t give up you can only get better.

6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

da$h: There are many things I’d like to tell my fans but to sum them all up into a sentence or 2 if have to say, thank you, you guys mean the world to me and I wouldn’t be here without you. It’s simple but the truth, all the times I felt like quitting I thought of the people who were waiting for new music and it encouraged me to keep going.

7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

da$h: I can’t say much but in terms of new music this year I have plenty of surprises, this feature with Godwin is only the tip of the iceberg. All I can tell you now is to be ready, I know you guys will love what I have in store.
